The C2C Challenge
The C2C Challenge for 2010 takes place this weekend, JULY 17 & 18. There's still time for last minute stragglers to book a place and a meal ticket - there's a further 24 hour window of opportunity, taking us to midnight on Thursday.
PLEASE NOTE:
The coaches leave Sunderland at 7am sharp so people need to gather at 0600 to register.
You won't need a pass or permit for the car-park, but please note that cars are parked at the owners risk. For those with satnav, the postcode is SR6 0DD
3-course DINNER now available at Alston campsite, cooked by former Raymond Blanc trainee, Sonia Whitehouse.£14.
We have already had lots of emails and calls about the next Challenge following the great success of last July, when 200 of you raised more than £10,000 for charity.
Photos
We have loads of great photos of last year's event. For those of you who'd like to have a look click here: Flickr group but remember: you'll need to be signed in to a Flickr account to see them. We will be using some of them on the new website C2C Guides and in the 2010 edition of Coast to Coast Routes.
Now's the time for veterans of last year's inaugural ride to let us know how we might improve on the organisational front (and many thanks to all those who already have).
Challenge II will see us linking up with the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) this year, in keeping with the coastal theme. We believe that the RNLI is an extremely worthy cause.
PS - any of you wanting to buy any C2C merchandise in advance of the great ride, including t-shirts, maps and an invaluable pocket guide book, you can order via the C2C Guide website. Challenge t-shirts can be purchased by non-participants Small, Medium, Large and XL.
Need another challenge?
The Great North Bike Ride starts from Seahouses at approximately 9:00am. Sunday 29th August 2010.
